This is an RNA molecule and it is called the hepatitis delta virus ribozyme. This RNA is part of the genetic material of the virus. It is a molecular scissors, capable of cutting itself from the surrounding viral RNA. This particular model has made it almost all the way around the world and currently resides in Taiwan.
