About this 3D model

This is a tablet clamp designed to be mounted on a 3/8" ballhead, or anything with a 3/8" screw! Started designing it from a need to clamp my new Nexus 7 to my tripod for remote controlling my camera using Helicon Remote. As I finished printing it, I realised it's a damn fine tablet stand for the table. The screw holes to secure the clamp rails are 3.4mm in diameter, which is what you can find on the back of most computer cases. Used two thumbscrews (for easy adjustment) and two normal screws which you can see in the picture. With the right kit such as the Manfrotto Super Clamp and Flex/Magic/Articulating Arm, and a cheap ballhead, this allows you to mount the tablet almost anywhere. Loving it and creating two more for use at home and in the office. ----- UPDATES ----- Got some ideas on how to improve the clamp, will work on it further. Also, reportedly the triangle jutting out part on the legs might be a bit too short for some with thicker tablets. Have uploaded legs with longer teeth(?) (tripod-tablet-clamp-backplate-legs-longer.stl/skp)
