Maplin ( UK store) sell a cheap 1 -> 40 Khz frequency generator kit. This is a case for the kit. The LEDS are mounted on standoffs, so they fit the case lid, and the circuit board mounted switches are actuated by "push rods". Link to kit -- http://www.maplin.co.uk/function-generator-kit-220045
