About this 3D model

The Skystar is a fully printable remote control airframe -- + Finding the balance between weight and strength has been very difficult. The top and bottom skin of the wings are ~1mm thick and I have been able to print them reliably. Still working on making the fuselage lighter. + Saving weight is the name of the game here. I will be modifying the files, especially the fuselage, reducing material where I can. That being said, this model will be **absurdly heavy** the hope is to have a plane that flies, is easy to assemble, and if it breaks, simply print a repair piece + The plane is designed to be modular, wing and fuselage sections can be added or removed to create the size model you want. I will be adding different airfoils as the project progresses Still to do: -- * Finish control surfaces * Make fuselage more aerodynamic * Make areas for servos, receiver, and battery hatch * landing gear struts * reduce weight * add engine mounts Suggestions and comments are very welcome :) --
