About this 3D model
Short video: http://youtu.be/tcW8MQRStng As soon as I printed the fixed version I'll try to actually plot something with a pencil. Sorry for the delay, I have about 50 earrings printed that need to be photographed, uploaded and posted! (Unless you care for the raw SKP/STL uploads...) Stay tuned for a rotating washing machine, a spinning table saw and much, much more... After thinking about a 3D Printer earring a lot (and seeing http://youtube.com/watch?v=hfAFWzh2VEM ) I created this little plotter earring. Of course my plotter is not nearly as sophisticated, but it works (as in: moves). I quickly whipped it up yesterday and I had to cope with the printer/size limitations, though it can probably be scaled down a little bit if adjusting the tolerances/clearances. Features: X axis Y axis Pen Up/Down "Switch" Pencil holder Turn-Dials with segment digits Earring loop :-) Placing the gear-rods in the center would make it less wobbly, but I would have to make it thicker. (render-pictures are from the older version as well)
