I prefer to repair my Kapton tape whenever I can. The problem of cutting small patches from sticky tape and trying to round the edges is nearly impossible (repairs fail when corners lift. Making patches round, solves this problem). Here's a nifty way to make round repair buttons that can be placed at a moment's notice.
