About this 3D model

Minimalist wool winder (not as cool as http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:13816 ! - go there if you are looking for a usable version ;-)) Short working demo: http://youtu.be/b-U9HqYEUDY While I used string in thingiverse.com/thing:17822 I now managed to use a gear! Unfortunaly, at this scale, it does not run very smoothly. Sometimes it needs to be pushed further or wiggled around. But the heck with it, it's an earring. Who would need such tiny skeins anyway? :-) If anyone wants to give me a UV-resin or SLS printer though, I'd happily accept. For a angled gear it is too small of a print. I hate gears at this scale :-) I would appreciate any suggestions though! If you don't know how these work: The thing turns string into a skein (through magic!). The skein holder spins arround the base and turns itself. This way a tidy criss-cross pattern will be created instead of a random lump of string. This is the reason why the top gear goes arround the axis. The axis remains still and acts as friction wheel or gear to turn the skein at a lower rate.
