About this 3D model

Made for a RepRap Mendel, but also works nicely with a MakerBot! This is also a derivative of MakerBot's Filament Spindle http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3116 and Zaggo's spool http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3640 but mainly a derivative of Spacexula's printable horizontal filament spool http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3542 redesigned and re-written in OpenSCAD. The OpenSCAD code also requires the mendel include files from the Parametric Mendel project http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3118. Woo!
