About this 3D model

This is a re-design of the popular DIY UHF Satcom antenna which was published several years ago in the special interest magazine MONITORING TIMES. The so called „MT Omni X-wing“ antenna was designed for a fixed setup. My Re-design is more like the commercial antennas in use by the army. The antenna is mounted onto an ordinary camera tripod, instead of a fixed mesh ground reflector. The mesh is replaced by 6mm radials as reflector. The mounting of the two dipoles is covered with a printed housing. The housing can hold a director boom, if someone need it.
