About this 3D model

This structure grows a highly complex pattern of polygonal faces with different numbers of sides. The growth rules are simple and deterministic and so one intuitively picks up on a kind of cohesion behind the form. It is also very interesting to see how the surface bulges and warps as a result of the different polygons included.
