Magnetic Fishing Rod Designed as a toy set together with the following creatures: - Round Fish: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:350198 - Flatfish: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:350217 Hook accommodates single 6.4 x 6.4mm Rare Earth Magnet. REMEMBER: Rare Earth Magnets are really DANGEROUS to kids - make sure to glue them well! All parts are easily printable with ABS using HIPS supports on Replicator 2X. Smaller elements printed using 0.2mm resolution, 3 shells, 30% infill. Rod segments printed at 0.3mm, 3 shells and 30% infill. Rings, reel, hook and crank handle don't need supports. I recommend using provided print alignment to obtain desired tensile/compressive strengths. Make sure rings are applied to each segment before joining rod segments together - they should prevent longitudinal splitting. Segment joints may need some sanding due to ABS warping/tolerances. I have used ABS/acetone mix to join each part. I will add links to other creatures once all files are uploaded.
