The culture of the vineyard was also deeply rooted in Montemorian culture, with vineyards being known in one of the terms of the village of Montemor in the 15th century. Wine played a key role in the daily life of people, with water, causing each member of the lower classes to consume, on average, 1 to 2 liters of wine per day. The number of jars, vases and bottles found in the archaeological excavations shows us this intensive consumption of liquids / wine. At the table were used to drink the wine or the water vases and cups of ceramic, since the ones of metal, apparently would not be to the peninsular taste.
