About this 3D model

This is a remix of jayziggy's awesome original model. I made the following modifications: * Scaled the original to .001 in Netfabb so that the object would seem to be in mm units rather than µm. * MeshMixer was then used to add some breakaway supports so that the ends of the strap clip would print better on my single-extruder printer. * While in Meshmixer it seemed worthwhile to adjust the mount point to add a space for a loosely-captive nut. I found it difficult to get right the size or the cavity for the nut within that application, and instead went for a loose cavity with little protrusions around the edges to hold the nut in place. * While still in Meshmixer, adjusted the spacing and thickness of the fins of the gopro mount. The fact that I needed to do this may indicate that I need to recalibrate my printer --but I needed a little more negative space within the mount for the fins of my gopro's mount, in the print of the original I couldn't get the gopro mount to insert far enough to fit the mounting screw. A timelapse of a print can be found at: https://vimeo.com/96028830 Edit 08/14/14 -- by request, I've added an STL file that's sans support (all save 1 that I couldn't easily remove). I've also added the Meshmixer files for the original and sans-support version. Edit 08/15/15 -- added greycat001's optimized and supportless version, named "GP_ScubaMount_v2.3_nosupport fixed.stl"
