About this 3D model

Okay, enough practical things for my cubicle walls. Now it's time to mount my Serenity shuttle figurine (see picture), from Universal Studios, so it's flying over my cubicle wall. It comes with a base which is just a flat platform with a 3mm-wide rod sticking up, and there's a small hole in the bottom of the ship, canted at an angle, so the ship seems to be flying and banking. To move this to a cubicle mount, I'm just printing a bracket with a hole in it the right size to fit a nail about the right thickness -- the closest I had was about 3.3mm wide, so I drilled out the ship's hole slightly larger. There's an inset for the nail head, and I've filed down the point of the nail with a Dremel moto-tool just for safety, though it'll be in the ship so that's just an excess of caution. The same technique could be used for many spaceships, planes, or other figurines. Redesign because the last one didn't hold securely enough.
