Use zip ties to fasten to a 12 mm, or 1/2" wooden boom. Use them in alternating directions so it requires the same amount of breaking strength both ways, and so they have even torque. Pull the zip ties tight so they bight into the wood a bit. They will break off in a crash, absorb alot of energy, and save your booms sometimes. They work awesome as I found out today. All it was, was 2 zip ties and I was back up in the air in 3 minutes.
