About this 3D model
This x-axis endstop holder is a modification of the original Prusa Mendel i2 endstop holder. This modification was made after the head of my printer did not stop because the x-axis endstop switch was somewhat rotated. This version rests on both the x-axis rods. It was created at the end of 2012. When I published [Prusa Mendel i2 frame mounted spool holder](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:304659) and somebody asked about it, I decided to publish it. [2018-03-10 Edit] I have uploaded a new version. I am in the process of repairing my Prusa i2. My Prusa i2 was not used any more, now that I have a Kossel XL. To print flexible materials, I have decided to bring it back to live. The bowden tube and 1.75 mm filament of my Kossel XL make it less suitable for printing flexible materials than the 3 mm direct drive of my Prusa i2. I noticed that the diameter used in the original STL-file is 9 mm. I made the following improvements: - Rod diameter is now 8 mm. Tape is no longer needed. - The nut holes are made somewhat bigger. - I moved the cable tie holes for the switch more to the side, and made them square. - Added holes to use nuts and bolts for mounting instead of a cable tie.
