About this 3D model
This is a tactile and visually accessible bingo (banko) board designed specifically to be usable by blind, visually impaired, and sighted players together. Each board is fully 3D-printed and features: Recessed square fields that keep markers or tokens securely in place during play High-contrast printed numbers for sighted players Embossed braille markings placed consistently between rows to support tactile orientation and independent use The layout follows standard bingo/banko logic, with numbers distributed by range across rows, making it intuitive for experienced players while remaining accessible for new users. What makes this design essential is that accessibility is not an add-on, it is built into the structure itself. No external braille stickers, overlays, or special tools are required. The board works straight off the printer and supports inclusive gameplay in mixed-ability settings such as families, schools, community centers, and organizations for the blind. - Designed from the ground up with tactile accessibility as a core principle - Fully print-in-place usable, no post-processing or assembly required - Combines braille, tactile structure, and visual clarity in a single object - Suitable both for personal use and institutional environments - Optimized for FDM 3D printing with clean recesses and readable braille dots This is not a decorative model, but a functional accessibility tool intended for real, repeated use. Use this for: - Bingo / banko games at home - Senior centers and care homes - Schools and institutions for blind and visually impaired users - Inclusive social events where accessibility matters Limitations: - Requires familiarity with braille to fully benefit from the tactile labels - Designed for standard bingo/banko gameplay; not intended for alternative rule sets without modification - Marker pieces are not included and must be printed or sourced separately This design is inspired by real-world accessibility needs and practical experience as a blind maker and accessibility consultant. The goal was to create a board that does not segregate players but allows everyone to participate on equal terms. This is an original design, not a remix.
