About this 3D model
Hello! Before downloading this project, I would like to draw your attention to a few important details. .3MF = ALL PARTS NAMED BUT ONE FILE .STL = INDIVIDUAL BUT CAN BE SEEN HERE IN 3D Can be made with 12v LED strip or Without it too. This project was created based on a request from a client who wanted this Caitlyn rifle to include LED lighting. This rifle is designed for cosplay purposes only and does not have any moving parts. The model was divided into multiple pieces to make 3D printing and painting easier. However, depending on your printer’s build volume, some parts may need to be cut or adjusted. The entire project was developed with ease of assembly and finishing in mind. All parts include tolerances to help with fitting during assembly, ranging from 0.2 mm to 0.3 mm in most areas, and up to 0.5 mm in areas that require supports during printing. These tolerances were defined based on my experience with 3D printing and cosplay prop production. In total, the project includes 64 parts, also counting the modeled electronic components such as circuits and batteries. The design offers two different areas for battery and circuit installation, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your setup. There is also a dedicated space for installing an Arduino, for those who enjoy programming lighting effects and animations. If you are unsure how to adjust your printer’s tolerance settings, I recommend printing a simple fit test cube with zero adjustment — for example, a 20 mm hole and a 20 mm cylinder. You can then fine-tune the fit by adjusting the X-Y contour compensation and X-Y hole compensation settings. The ideal fit should allow the parts to slide together with light pressure, without being loose or falling apart after assembly. Please note that the tolerances used in this project take paint thickness into account. Because of this, some parts may appear loose at first glance before painting. I hope you enjoy this project! If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message. You can also check the message section, where many customers have already asked questions and received answers that may be helpful to you. If you are interested in adding a functional trigger with a button to control LED animations, please contact me so I can update the model and select the most suitable switch for this project. Thank you for your attention.
