About this 3D model
The Plastipan is a 3D-Printed recycled modular watch created for easy personalization and built with sustainability at its core. It combines a Miyota 8205 automatic movement with a layered construction: laser-cut acrylic disks act as both crystal and backplate, paper dials slip under the hands for instant graphic changes. Everything that can be 3D printed is: case and strap, no expensive tools required. The Plastipan’s parts can be printed using recycled and biodegradable filaments, allowing makers to minimize environmental impact. The Plastipan name comes from Plastic + Mazapán After prototyping, I noticed the small, domed shape of the watch resembled one of my favorite Mexican candies, the mazapán.
