About this 3D model
Axiom (V3) is the next evolution of my FFBeast direct drive wheelbase case, designed to be stronger, sleeker, and significantly more compact than the previous Titan. With a more futuristic design, Axiom delivers a cleaner overall look while improving rigidity and simplifying assembly. It also uses nearly identical parts to the previous case, making upgrades from Titan straightforward and cost-effective. Items in the parts list marked with * are directly used from the Titan. This case is designed to slide directly onto the FFBeast using the original PCB and SK16s, allowing near universal compatibility while reducing overall size and filament usage. The entire case prints using approximately 500g of filament, making it lighter and more accessible without sacrificing strength. Note that you MUST REMOVE the USB B connector and XT60 from the original PCB to make the fan fit (We reposition them elsewhere in this design anyway.) The design consists of two main, simple parts, requiring minimal additional hardware and making assembly faster and easier than previous versions. The front and back feature optional hex-style decorative panels that can be colored and customized to your liking. The front plate is magnet mounted using significantly stronger magnets than Titan, and now includes alignment posts for improved fitment and rigidity. Like my other designs, the ODESC mounts directly to the top of the SK16s using any adhesive. Axiom (V3) is designed to support multiple motor thicknesses. Simply measure your motor from the back side to the front face and select the closest option. Current variations include: - 62mm - 57mm - 52mm Maximum motor diameter of 135mm. The hole for QR/extension to pass through is 86mm. Additional sizes can be created upon request. CHECK THE README in the files! Mine needed M2.5 and M3) Superglue for fastening decorative plates, IO plate, and fan (Although it can be friction fit) Print orientation is flexible, but recommended orientations are: Main body: printed on its bottom side with 30 degree supports Front plate: printed on its bottom side with 30 degree supports Minimal supports are required. The case is designed with generous bevels on all overhangs for easier prints. Can fit on an A1 mini (185x185x185mm) with ease. Disclaimer: This is an original design, built from scratch. While it has design that may share broad industrial design language, it does not exist to mimic or replace other offerings on the market. Its internal and external design are built with the sole purpose of being a functional and aesthetic case for a DIY wheelbase.
