There are two types of 3D models which are designed for rendering (3DS, OBJ formats) and 3D printing (STL format) The 3d printable version of the model (STL format) was designed with optimizations for current 3D printing methods (FDM, SLS, SLA, etc.) The last photos show a 3D print of the model.
