About this 3D model

Gebed (english. Prayer) is a lifesize marble group by Belgian sculptor Guillaume Charlier (1854-1925). The sculpture depicts two figures, a woman (presumably a mother) kneeling infront of a young boy (her son). The woman appears to be pregnant as the boy listens to her stomach. The piece holds significance to the allegory of the relationship between mother and son (like the Pieta). This object is part of "Scan The World". Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free.
