About this 3D model

Jan Frans Willems (1793-1846), ‘the Father of the Flemish Movement’, fought for a better position of the Dutch language in Flanders and wrote several literary works. It is no coincidence that his statue was placed right across from the Royal Dutch Theatre, which was the counterpart of the Opera, the French-language theatre. This statue is a symbolic representation of Flemish emancipation. This object is part of "Scan The World". Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free.
