About this 3D model

Recumbent Lion, Loutraki 570-560 B.C., Nye Carlsberg Glyptotek (Copenhagen, Denmark). Made with Memento Beta (now Remake) from AutoDesk. The lion rests on a plinth carved, with the animal, out of a single block. The head is rendered frontally. The motif had its antecedents in the Near East, where the lion symbolized strength and high social status. The light marks on the head are traces of the sculpture´s original paint.
