About this 3D model

This is my Monster Hunter sword for the Raise3D/Capcom Competition. Printed full size it's over 4 feet long - 1.25m It's designed to have a 5mm metal rod run through the center which can be purchased from most DIY stores. It also has extra alignment dowels for ease of assembly and added strength, I would advise printing these in ABS with 100% Fill. The assembly is straight forward but if you have any questions just let me know. (Prints without support) Mine was printed in ABS on a Robox. It was then sanded, filled and primed before giving it a Candy red paint job (Paint by Plastikote). The details of the handle have been modelled so that you have the option of painting straight on to the print or like me you can choose to wrap the handle with another material.
