About this 3D model

The regiment of the equites singulares, the knights in charge of the emperor's protection, was housed in two barracks, both situated in vicinity of Lateran Basilica. The oldest, called Castra Priora, on present-day Via Tasso, and the new one, Castra Nova, underneath the Basilica itself. Inside the Castra Priora there was a place of worship dedicated to various deities, all of oriental origin, as evidenced by the votive dedications.
