About this 3D model

Great Barrier Reef model developed by Conor O'Kane of team Petrified Data for Govhack 2016. Uses data from the center for coral reef studies: https://www.coralcoe.org.au/media-releases/only-7-of-the-great-barrier-reef-has-avoided-coral-bleaching and height data from the Space Shuttle Topography Mission: http://dwtkns.com/srtm/ After printing the model was hand-painted to indicate the health of the coral reef and resin was added to simulate the ocean.
