About this 3D model

This representation of Saint John the Baptist is quite uncommon as he is portrayed young and beardless. However, the sheep's skin is the clue that indicates the spectator the identity of the subject. It is a direct reference to his ascetic life in the desert, when he was announcing the arrival of the Messiah.
