About this 3D model

Such a statue of a lion is very common in Etruscan art. Many have been discovered over the centuries. Lions fascinated because of what they symbolized: strength, power and courage. As this statue is on top of a pillar, it was most probably part of a broader architecture: it was perhaps used to guard the entrance of a house or of a building.
