About this 3D model
Micro Reverse Compound Crossbow Really fun for shooting on a magnetic dart plate. The parts are printed in PLA and PETG at 0.2mm layer height. Additional Hardware: 2 mm wire (I used a 2mm stainless steel tig welding rod) magnet D:6mm H:3mm string (I used a kevlar line from a paraglider) Print Settings: Pully_Big: PLA 0.2mm/ 100% Infill / 2x Pully_small: PLA 0.2mm/ 100% Infill / 2x Cockinghandle: PLA 0.2mm/ 100% Infill cockingsled: PLA 0.2mm/ 100% Infill handle_left: PLA 0.2mm/ 25% Infill handle_right: PLA 0.2mm/ 25% Infill trigger: PETG 0.2mm/ 100% Infill limb_right: PETG 0.2mm/ 100% Infill limb_left: PETG 0.2mm/ 100% Infill handle_body_right: PLA 0.2mm/ 25% Infill handle_body_left: PLA 0.2mm/ 25% Infill trigger_roll: PLA 0.2mm/ 100% Infill mainbody: PLA 0.2mm/ 25% Infill boltholder: PETG 0.2mm/ 100% Infill cocking_bracket: PLA 0.2mm/ 25% Infill magneticbolt: PLA 0.2mm/ 100% Infill /supports on Post Printing: cut all the 2mm wire to the desired length you will need: - 2x 20mm (for the pullys in the limbs) - 2x 10mm (for the smaller pullys on the main body) - 2x 95m (for the sliding cocking mechanism) make sure all pullys run smoth on the wire. if not, use a 2mm drill to widen the holes a little press fit the 2 small wirerods into the mainbody (use a hammer or a vise) press fit the 2 middle wirerods into the limbs with the pullys in the middle press fit the long wirerods into the cocking sled put the assemblly into the cocking bracket and make sure the wirerods run smoth i (drill to widen if not) assemble the cocking handle (press fit) superglue handle_right and handle_left to their handle bodys put the trigger and the trigger_roll into the handle_Body_left and close it with the handle_body_right put the whole assembly through the mainbody (press fit) and make sure the top is planar Attach the limbs to the mainbody and assemble the bowstring like you see on the pictures. The limbs are really lose, but once the string is tight they will hold. put the cockingsled assembly in to the guide and pressfit the cockingbracket onto the whole assembly superglue the boltholder to the cockingbracket glue the magnet into the magneticbolt Cock it and have fun ;) If you like this model you may have a look at my other flying toys too Micro Sailplane Geared Propeller Launcher Flying Bat
