About this 3D model
Konenkov graduated from the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture in 1897 with a Large Silver MEdal for his diploma work – The Stone Breaker. Originally modeled in clay, this realistic, powerful study of a Russian road worker was subsequently cast in bronze and shown in 1899 at the 27th Exhibition of the realist-oriented Association of Traveling Exhibitions. Thay same year he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg.
