About this 3D model

This sculpture was made after an original by Bartolini. Bartolini was the leading Italian neo-classical sculptor of the generation after Canova. He based the Venus on a painting by Titian, the famous Venus of Urbino of 1538 which his friend J.A.D. Ingres copied for him from the original in the Uffizi at Florence.
