About this 3D model

This fragment was found in Athens, in the Kerameikos, near the Dipylon Gate. It belongs to the top of a tall stele and preserves the head of a discobolos. The quality of the carving and the projection of the head on the disc are striking. A splendid, lively work by the so-called "Master of the Rampin horseman".
