Statue of an armed Aphrodite, carved from Parian marble and found in Epidauros. The sheath of the sword held in the goddess' raised right hand crosses her chest. 1st Century AD. copy of an original dated to ca. 400 BC. and carved by a sculptor of the school of Polykleitos, possibly Polykleitos the Younger
