About this 3D model

I always feel a little down when I have to toss those plastic thingies that come inside ammo boxes from the factory. Plus, I've been needing a big ol' container to stash all my ammo during my reloading sessions. So, guess what? I dove in and whipped up yet another ammo box design. Here's what I aimed for with this design: Give those factory plastic inserts a second life: Yep, I wanted to make use of those plastic bits from the ammo boxes I buy. Keep it budget-friendly with 3D printing: I went for the frugal route and designed it so it's easy to 3D print without any fancy support structures. No fuss, just pick it up: I made sure the ammo stays snug and safe, even when you're grabbing the box from the bottom. Made to fit standard S&B 100x50x30 ammo inserts: This thing should work fine with other brands too, but just in case, do a little measuring and adjust the model to match your ammo brand. Stack 'em up for stability: To keep things neat on your shelf, I designed these to stack up easily and stay steady. Better be worry than sorry: For extra security I have also created version with tight tolerance sliding door, but I still like slide-in model better. As for the nitty-gritty printing details: Wall it up like a spider: I used the Arachne wall setting. No need for scaffolding: Skip the support structures. Lay it down on its backside: For printing, stand it up like a tall drink on its back. Materials for the job: Go with PLA, PET-G, ABS, or ASA. Whatever floats your boat. So, there you have it. Now I've got a snazzy new ammo box and I'm not shedding a tear for those plastic inserts anymore!
