Part of a graveslab showing John MacAlister< parson of Gigha, Argyll, 1500-60, from the chapel on Texa, a small island off Islay. H.Ib 199 Given by Capt Ian Ramsay of Kildalton. Graveslab, cast of an original at Finlaggan, 14th to early 16th century. The anvil shows that it was made for a smith, perhaps one of the MacEacherns of Islay, Argyll, H.1992.12
