About this 3D model
This is an all-in-one solution for a TS100 soldering iron for use in the Gridfinity organization system by ZackFreedman This is clearly inspired by both ZackFreedman's Gridfinity Pinecil + TS100 Tips and Tool Holder and pelrun's Gridfinity TS100 soldering iron holder This 1x1 Gridfinity box will hold: TS100 soldering iron body (NOTE: only designed to fit in the orientation shown in the photo, with the tip end inserted and the power port on top) 3 soldering tips standard 2.5mm hex key Spare screws, such as spare tip retaining screws using a recessed 6x2mm magnet (the same size as is used in the bottom of the Gridfinity design) There is also a second STL for a dust cover – since I don't use my iron too frequently, but I want it sitting out on my Gridfinity tray, I wanted to make sure to protect it. The cover must be printed in vase mode and will slot in to the Gridfinity ridges in the organizer. NOTE: Even with the cover, this model is not designed to have more Gridfinity containers stacked on top! This was my first attempt at modifying a Gridfinity design and I'm also just beginning to learn 3D design as a whole, so I'm sure there are other optimizations that could've been made. Print settings: The base should be printed with typical Gridfinity settings. Low infill (use whatever you need to get nice top surfaces) and no supports needed. The cover must be printed in vase mode Update History: 06 May 2023 - Finally remembered to come back and upload a filled in cover… 26 Sep 2023 - Migrated models to MakerWorld. I will try to find time to get some print profiles in the future. 28 Sep 2023 - Added basic print profiles for each model
