Put a laser proximity sensor facing out of the hole, a small battery, a party popper explosion piece, and a bright LED inside, put a piece of paper on top, and wait for someone to walk by! Will require you to try out some things, but priceless if made correctly! Do note-you will have to scale this yourself based on the components you are putting inside and the printer you are using.
