About this 3D model

This GrabPedestal is an eight-armed mechanism that will display any object (apple, baseball, etc). The design is meant for SLS printer, as the 3D model has moving parts can not be assembled otherwise. The mechanism is operated by a central button. Pushing this button down will move the arms up in a grabbing fashion. The arms have a small spring, which allows them to conform to the object to be displayed.
