Dwarapalaka, also known as Jaya-Vijaya, are the two demigod gatekeepers of the abode of Vishnu. They can be seen as gatekeepers in Vishnu temples and temples affiliated with Vaishnavism. It has been said by many that the strengths of Dwarapalaka gradually declined with each subsequent birth.
