About this 3D model

This fragment formed part of a larger relief. In keeping with Lombard workshop tradition, it may have been carved by a skilled assistant to Amadeo's design. The shield shows the French fleur-de-lis quartered with the serpent of the Visconti family, who ruled Milan during periods of French occupation. This object is part of "Scan The World". Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free.
