Week 2: Steel Rule Marking Gauge Continuing the Design a Week challenge, these three items allow you to turn a standard steel rule into a marking out gauge for height, width and depth. Simply screw the guide to the flat end of the steel rule. Fit the slider from the other and set the distance to mark with a second screw. The slider has pencil slot for positioning with. The guide can be reversed to mark on flat surfaces as you can see in the attached image. Give it a try!
