A very detailed model of the proposed US 240mm GMC from the early cold war. By the end of WW2, in that peculiar era between 1945-1960, where tube artillery has reached it's zenith and missile tech had not matured, monstrosities like this were conceived. A 240mm howitzer m1 from WW2 would be taken, elongated, mounted inside a turret, and given articulated chassis. This design also incorporated automated rammer and rotating MG-mini turret, with the driver placed inside the turret. A true cuttg edge weapon system of the 1950s.
