The symmetrically designed pair of female servants belong to the context of framing assistant figures which were set up on the corners of monumental funerary terraces. Such a tomb structure has been reconstructed behind the couple. The girls wear the contemporary slave costume and rest their heads on one hand in a gesture of deep mourning.
