About this 3D model
This sculpture shows a young faun, a mythological half-man, half-goat, playing with Bacchus (Roman name for Dionysus). The little child is already playful and wine is obvious in the composition, to assure us of his identity. The author of this piece, Karl Begas (1845–1916), was a German sculptor, often distinguished from his father, a famous historical painter, by being called "the younger".
