About this 3D model

This is an updated version of my design for supporting the USB-C Cable for Dell docking stations. Thinner design for access to adjacent ports. (Old version here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/22782 ) Designed this to support the USB-C cable that connects a Dell docking station to the computer. The USB-C port on the laptop is fragile and requires a full motherboard replacement to repair it when damaged. This should reduce/prevent the damage to the port from pushing the connector down, twisting, or pivoting. It will not prevent damage from picking up the opposite edge of the laptop. Remember it is best to unplug the cable entirely to move the laptop around on your desk. Check the list below to see what models are supported. You can reach out in comments with a measurement from the table surface to top of USB-C cable and I can create a custom block. There is also the option of using slicer cut feature to thin down one I already made. Dovetail modeled with 0.08 clearance and tested working with ABS print on my P1S. Will test PLA version as well but it should work without any change due to small size overall. Supported Dell Docking Station models (Tested Compatible): WD15 (Reduced functionality as the cable sticks out a little further if you line up LED) WD19TB WD19TBS WD22TB4 Unsupported Dell Docking Station (Tested not compatible): TB16 Supported Dell Laptops: Precision 3560 Latitude 5540 Latitude 5511 Print one “Core USB Support V4” and then the Riser Block of your model laptop, for example: “Riser Block pre3560 14-6mm v4”. The “14.6mm” in file name means the table to top of USB-C Cable is 14.6mm.
