As Lebanon has such a rich history, its cultural heritage holds works spanning across various movements and styles. This throne originates from the Roman period, found in the area of Sidon. Sidon (translated to 'fishing-town' from Biblical Hebrew) is the third-largest city in Lebanon. The area has been inhabited since very early in prehistory. Finds from various archaeological sites suggest a founding date just prior to the invention of pottery.
