About this 3D model

This bust sculpture depicts Maurice Burton, a zoologist who Alfred Hardiman spent sculpting several hours every week for a year. Burton, a sponge specialist at Natural history Museum, was surprised when Hardiman suggested he had a 'sculpturesque' face: 'at the ahe of tem I had had my nose broken, flattened across my face...since then any remarks about my physiognomy had been unanimously unflattering'.
