About this 3D model
This sculpture depicts Maria Baryatinskaya (1793-1858), born Keller, 2nd wife of Prince Baryatinskij. She was a philanthropist and a founder or an orphanage and care home. In 1818 Princess and her husband travelled to Rome and ordered the statue to Thorvaldsen. For some reasons, Baryatinskij didn't pay the whole amount for the sculpture and it was moved together with other sculptor's pieces to Denmark. In 1845 their son, Alexander Baryatinskij ordered the marble copy of this sculpture from Thorvaldsen's son.
