This is a Fragmentary Cuirass statue of a Roman Emperor. The emperor wears the paludamentum, the Roman army mantle. In classical antiquity, the muscle cuirass, anatomical cuirass or heroic cuirass is a type of body armour made to fit the wearer's torso and designed to mimic an idealized human physique.
